Personalized training programs are created based off of the details you provided during the registration process. Each person has different training abilities, thus each training program varies in length. Training programs are typically made of 15 to 30 daily goals with daily training goals gradually increasing in time.
Each daily goal represents the amount of time during the day that you should wear UPRIGHT. Typically, your first daily goal will be 5 minutes and training times will gradually increase in time to 60 minutes over the course of your training program. Training programs are designed to gradually train your core muscles and build muscle memory.
UPRIGHT's training is built on Skinner's theory of operant conditioning. Operant conditioning negative reinforcement explains that behaviors are strengthened by stopping a negative outcome, or removing an aversive stimulus. In UPRIGHT’s case, the vibration acts as the aversive stimulus. By correcting your posture to the desired upright position, the vibration is avoided. Your body can learn and remember desired behaviors by avoiding negative reinforcement. Thus, Skinner's theory explains how UPRIGHT's training is intuitive and almost entirely subconscious.
